Systems that are designed to support decision making DSS combine a decision-making methodology with an  information systems platform. DSS help you analyze a problem, but you must still  identify the problem, generate the alternatives, and be  able to use the results of the analysis DSS are designed according to the type of decisions, the  capabilities of the decision makers, and the goal of the  decision making process
