How to improve your Econ-001 grade: Economics requires understanding on verbal, numeric and graphic levels. We realize that different students have different strengths and test understanding in multiple ways. One can do well in the course even if one aspect is weak. To do very well, you have to be able to demonstrate ability on all levels- and that, sometimes, is hard. How to get to this proficiency? Practice is the key. We suggest doing problems in a timely manner throughout the semester and not waiting for the weekend prior to the midterm. This is especially important for midterm 2 where the pace of the new material picks up about a week before the midterm. You need to be ready for that last sprint when it comes. Study tips by (current) level: D/low C students: Use the study guide. Make sure to solve end of chapter questions in the text. Make flashcards of core concepts. Make flashcards of graphs. Draw the main graphs for friends. Explain your graphs verbally to yourself & to friends.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
