The warriors weren’t scared because they didn’t think that a woman could fight with as much strength, power and courage that men fight with. 2. What does this lesser fear of her reveal about the Anglo-Saxons? It reveal how old fashioned in views that they were. They had what we had today would be considered to be sexist views. 3. According to Beowulf, what is "the noblest of goals"? Fame; he thinks that it is noble to be remember after death. Each of us will come to the end of his life on earth; he who can earn it should fight for the glory of his name; fame after death is the noblest of goals.
