Chemistry 107 Lab Report #3 Summary Just like the last, there were two different parts to this lab. The first part included my lab partners and I measuring the pressure that is given with different volumes of air. We were to first take a syringe and attach it to a device connected to a computer. This device would measure the air pressure given off at any point in time. We were then to pull the syringe to certain different increments of volume and then release the air into the pressure sensor device. And record the results for each volume. The second part of the experiment consisted of my lab partners and I measuring the relationship between temperature and pressure. We had to put a cork on a flask and place it in a beaker of water and measure the pressure it gives off at different temperatures ranging from boiling to freezing. From our results we can conclude that the greater the volume the less pressure a gas gives off. Volume and pressure have an inverse relationship but it is direct with temperature, a lesser temperature means lesser pressure.
