Solutions will be posted at: http://stellar.mit.edu/S/course/7/fa07/7.012/index.html Question 1 In lecture, the energy producing reactions were grouped in to five metabolic pathways: glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, the citric acid cycle, the electron transport chain, and fermentation. Draw a schematic for each pathway (see example below on left), and organize the pathways into flow diagram (see example below on right) to show how each is related to the other. Use a second sheet of paper or the back of this page if needed. • In your schematics you should include the names of the following molecules: glucose, pyruvate, acetyl CoA, CO 2 , O 2 , H 2 O. No others are required.
