CEIE 230 – Homework Assignment No. 9 Assigned April 7, 2008. Due April 14, 2008 at start of class. Water is in steady state flow in the pipe network shown at a constant elevation. Using the Hazen- Williams approach to calculate the headloss and a Hardy Cross approach to calculate flows, determine (a) the flow rate (Q), headloss (h L ) and pressure change ( P) of each pipe in the network and, (b) the pressure (P) of each node. (Note: To receive credit for this assignment you must include your calculations with the completed table).
