The second Athenian empire or the hegemony of Thebes was the power after its victory at Leuctra. They had two generals Pelopidas and Epaminondas. Pelopidas dies in its successful attempt to gain control of Thessaly. And Epaminondas who made Thebes dominant over all of Greece. He took the Boeotain army into Peloponnesus where is army was victorious but he sadly died along with the Theban dominance. Athenians organized the Second Athenian
