Amanda Thomann English 102-30 2-5-08 Summary Response Journal 2 Chapter 2 essays Doctrine of preemptive war has its roots in early 1990’s By: Steven R Weisman 1. Steven Weisman assumes that the readers are somewhat anti-Bush. It almost seems as if he has a problem with Bush Jr. and Sr. and all of the members of either of their administrations. 2. Steven Weisman is a writer from the New York Times, writing in the International Herald Tribune. 3. Weisman gives a factual argument by giving many details regarding names, documents, and specific dates of conflicts. A causal argument could also be possible due to the ending prediction that a conflict with North Korea and Iran is probable. 4. Steven Weismans purpose is to inform the reader of factual history regarding who was in power and what conflicts the United States were involved in as well as some very important documents presented since the nineties. 5.
