Arthur Schlesinger assumes that preventive and preemptive war is one in the same. He also assumes that the reader will agree with him as far as the type of administration we have running the country right now. 2. Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., is a historian, former aide to President John F. Kennedy, and a Pulitzer Prize-winning author. 3. Schlesinger is not in support of preemptive war. He gives an 4.
