Unformatted text preview: Erin Gray 100 Valley View Trail Double Oak, Texas 75077 State Senator Jane Nelson, I am strongly in support of Texas Act HB #165, which relates to the requirements imposed on sexual offenders upon entering a public park. I believe that once a person is found to be a sex offender at the risk levels of one, two, or three; the state is responsible in ensuring the safety of all children that offender may encounter upon moving to a new residence or workplace, or in the process of using a publicly funded place such as a park, library, or recreation center. However, I must advise that this act be amended to go one step further: I believe that the sex offender should not simply just have to “report to the juvenile probation officer, community supervision and corrections department officer, or parole officer supervising the person” once they move, begin a new job, or want to go to the library. I think that a sex offender should plan the event ahead of time and ask a parole officer or park or library attendant...
