Owning a Guitar Congratulations for purchasing a new guitar! As the owner of this guitar you can easily provide it basic maintenance and care. In turn, it will reward you with a finer performance and years of enjoyment. In addition to understanding the common terms that refer to the parts of a guitar in order to play, some common ways to care for your guitar include proper handling, tuning, and moisturization. Handling a guitar properly involves usage of a guitar strap when playing, and a stand or case to hold it when not in use. You can find these for a minimal amount at any guitar or music shop.
