Axia College Material Appendix E Hindu Terms Map Word What is your personal understanding of each of these terms? After reading the text, how would you redefine each of them? What differences did you find between the popular usage and actual definitions? Karma What you do in the world will come back to you. If a person does many good deeds then good deeds will happen to them. What a person gives to the world is what that person gets back. There was not much difference in the definition then what I believed it to mean. Karma is a word that was taught to me well. Reincarnatio n When a person dies their spirit comes back as someone else. Is a belief that when a person dies they come back in someone else’s body and takes birth time after time in countless bodies. The difference in my meaning in that of the text is the countless times of reincarnation. I thought a person could only be reborn as someone else once not again and again. Yoga
