Tissues are groups into four major categories: epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue. Activity: Epithelial Tissue Epithelial tissues are tightly joined, closely packed cells. Epithelial tissue cover the outside of the body, line organs, line and cavities. Epithelial tissues are grouped by their cell shape and number of cell layers.
