Daniel Moore Professor Tangorra MEM435-062 September 30, 2009 Homework #1 1) Some of the needs that this product fulfills are as follows: Educational - must serve as a teaching/learning aide in accordance with EDUROB’s history. Mid-tech - operators should be able to reengineer the device and understand how the device works both function and performance wise. It however, should have parts that are of advance technical nature in order for future learning. Biomechanical- incorporate real life biological functions of animals and insects. Cost- device should be equipped with modern technology but not cost more than $50 and also not go over the budget. Availability - prototypes of the device should be ready by December 2009. Safety - the device must meet all standards of safety and laws distributed amongst products of similar kind. Life Expectancy- device must withstand years of use. 2)The following are some products that meet the needs from above along with descriptions of the quality amongst each.
