Edwards says that ‘single women…have moved to the center of our social and cultural life.’ What is some evidence for this? Through shows that show the empowerment of single women such as Sex and the City, Judging Amy, and Providence 2. In what ways did the women’s movement contribute to the growing number of single women? Women became, in a way, obsessed over their freedom to do whatever they please without the consequences of being looked down upon by society. This led to the higher number of women caring more about their personal lives rather than looking for the perfect man to marry in order to ensure a stable future 3. Some say that women are ‘so picky about men that they’re denying themselves and society the benefits of marriage.’ Do you think this is a problem? Why or why not?
