Teacher Day Time Branch TA Class Aim: Teacher will make an introduction to the class and introduce the topics and subtopics. Stage: Warm-Up Page: Time: 8-10 Min. Method: Teacher will greet students and give a brief introduction of himself. Teacher will write on the board the topics and subtopics. Teacher will ask students what do they do for fun.? The subtopics to be discussed are: Mountain Activities, Forest Activities, Beach and Sea Activities, Fresh Water Activities, Aero Activities, Desert Activities, Family Activities, Cultural and Historical Activities. Comments Aim: To familiarize the students with all of the activities. Stage: Introduction Page: Time: 10-15 Min. Method: Handouts Teacher will break down the subtopics into mini groups. Teacher will pass out handouts on what these activities are. Teacher will ask if students have participated in any of these activities. Teacher will ask with whom do they participate into these activities with. Comments Aim: To have students do a comparison on the activities. Stage: Present Page: Time: 8-10 Min. Method: Compare and Contrast Teacher will tell the students to rank the subtopics. Teacher will have students rank them from the most dangerous to the safest. Students will rank activities from the cheapest to the most expensive. Students will rank the activities from the nearest to the farthest away from their home. Comments Aim: To have the students brainstorm ideas. Stage: Practice Page: Time: 10-15 Min. Method: Mountain Activities Vs. Beach and Sea Activities Teacher will break the class into 2 groups. Teacher will have the students in the groups write down the supplies that they would want to take on these activities. Teacher will have the students write down who they want to take with them on the adventure. How long will the adventure last? Students in both groups will also state on the paper what procedures they may
