Pets Teacher Day Time Branch TA Class Aim: Students will be introduced to new vocabulary; vaccination, spay/neuter, stray, abandon Stage: present Page: Time: 8 – 10 min Method: Test, teach, test Teacher will write new vocabulary on the board and ask if any of the students know what the meaning is (in English) Words that are unknown or described incorrectly will be explained by the teacher. What kinds of pets were popular Why a cat over a fish or bird over a dog? Comments Aim: students will discuss what the role of the pet is in China vs. US vs. other parts of the world Stage: Page: Time: 10 - 20 Method: How people in the US view their pets How people in China view their pets How people in other cultures view their pets Have events in history changed these views? For the better?
