Welcome to Human Biology You are enrolled in a course designed to introduce you to the exciting and fast-paced world of biology from the human perspective. Hardly a day passes that you don’t hear of a way in which biology impacts your life. My hope is that I can introduce you to exciting ways in which biology will impact your lives in the future. How to Use Your Lecture Guide and Workbook 1) Downloading the lecture guide: The lecture guide is available at my Human Biology Web Page ( http://facstaff.bloomu.edu/jhranitz/ in Protected Document Format (PDF) files). If you are not familiar with this file type, these files contain formatting that is universal to all printers so that they can be printed from the Adobe Acrobat Reader (often linked to your web browser) TM without losing the intended formatting. You are responsible for downloading, printing, and completing the assignments for each lecture unit prior to class. Computers with internet connections and printers are available at the library, dormitories, and in the Hartline Science Center (HSC).
