ENGE 2314 Engineering Problem Solving with C++ Page 2 Module 8 – C++ Classes I Revised 9/29/2009 11:39 PM Reading assignment amplifications and clarifications For the time-being, we have skipped chapters 6 and 7 having to do with 1-dimensional and multi-dimensional arrays, respectively. We will return to those chapters in modules 11 – 14. CAUTION: It is absolutely necessary to fully understand the material in chapter 8 in order to be successful in this course. Students should read this material slowly, and, where applicable, load the code and experiment with it. There is no substitute for playing with the code while learning a new language. If you don’t understand something – open a discussion forum and/or email the instructor with the question(s) and remember, the best way to grasp object-oriented programming concepts is to think in terms of real-life analogies. We will take this new material as slowly as possible. In section 8.1 you are introduced to some words (jargon) that you might not be familiar with so
