Question 1 What is the relationship between corporate governance and social responsibility? Does a company have to act selflessly to be considered socially responsible? Samantha Meyers Corporate Governance- the relationship among the board of directors, top management, and shareholders in determining the direction and performance of a corporation. Social Responsibility - the ethical and discretionary responsibilities a corporation owes its stakeholders. They both share responsibilities of their corporation. They both are step ups and making sure everything is getting done and that they are responsible no matter what is going on. Yes and no. they just need to make sure things are getting done and that they have a strategic plan in mind. Communication is the key to all of this. They both need corporations to work with them and making sure if things are going bad that they are able to jump in and make things turn around.

Samantha Meyers Code of ethics is how a organization expects their employees to behave while on/at their job. This can help with ethical behavior. More than half of the businesses/corporations in the US are using code of ethics. The codes clarify company expectations of situations and makes things clear that the company expects their people to recognize the ethical dimensions in decisions and actions according to the book. With having their employees attend workshops and seminars it will help with them understanding things a little better. This can all help improve a business/corporation. This will and can help with communication skills. They say this could turn into a mission statement for some....
