Racquetball Peer Evaluation Player: _____________________ Evaluated by: This fully completed evaluation is worth 10 points, thus BE HONEST with your partner. The observer will assess another player’s performance by circling “Y” for “Yes” if the component was performed correctly or “N” for “No” if the component was performed incorrectly or not at all. In addition, the evaluator must comment on how the player could improve on his/her skill level. Basic Strokes - Forehand Stroke Preparation Phase 1. Y N Player starts in the ready position (knees slightly bent and feet shoulder width) apart, weight evenly distributed on both feet, body and head facing the front wall, eyes focused on front wall, racquet in front of body) 2. Y N Backswing is early before ball arrives 3. Y N Weight is on back foot 4. Y N Shoulders and hips facing side-wall 5. Y N Waits for ball to drop to between the waist and knees Execution Phase 6. Y N Player pushes off rear foot 7. Y N Hips rotate forward 8. Y N Racquet face comes perpendicular to intended line at contact 9. Y N Arm is fully extended upon contact/eyes are tracking the ball the entire phase
