Answer: The first compound has an LD 50 of 9.63 mg/kg which means that when 9.63 mg of the compound are introduced into 1 kg subjects, half of those subjects die due to the toxic effects of the compound. The first compound is more toxic than the second compound because it has a lower LD 50 which means that less of the compound is required
