Math 11L April 6, 2008 Lab 1 1. Bar Graph of the Weather: Sunny Rain Partly Cloudy Overcast Mostly Cloudy Fog 25 20 15 10 5 0 Cloud Cover Percent Percent within all data. Cloud Cover from 2001-2007 In this specific bar graph, the data being presented shows the various percentages of the total amount of April days at the San Diego airport from 2001 to 2007 that contained a specific cloud cover. Through this chart, one can tell which type of sky conditions appeared most between 2001 and 2007, mostly cloudy, and which condition appeared the least within this same time period, fog. Fog can be considered somewhat of an unusual condition, or outlier, because it rarely occurs and can throw off the average of the conditions of the weather between 2001 and 2007. The cloud covers range from fog to sunny and is somewhat uniform since there is not one cloud cover that really stands out from the other ones. This chart is helpful in labeling and showing the various percentages of cloud covers to give people a general idea of what the weather usually is like in April days at the San Diego airport between 2001 and 2007. 2.
