Caterpillar Inc. is formed in 1925. It is a United States-based corporation headquartered in Peoria, Illinois. Caterpillar (CAT) is the world’s largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines. The industry of their company work in is heavy equipment and their products are mainly Construction & Agriculture Machinery. Famous for their products featuring caterpillar tracks and a distinctive yellow paint scheme, Caterpillar produces a wide range of engineering vehicles, including the range of Caterpillar bulldozers. Caterpillar is one of the thirty companies whose stock is tracked in the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P. It is a Fortune 500 company, ranked number 50 in 2008, and first in its industry. Background (Daisy) (also called John Deere), founded in 1837, a US-based corporation headquartered in Moline, Illinois and is one of the companies whose stock is tracked in S&P. John Deere is now the world's leading and well-known manufacturer producing agricultural, forestry, construction, commercial and consumer equipments, serving customers all over the world like China, England and America. It has been diversifying its business to construction, forestry and credit services, construction, forestry and credit. Particularly, John Deere Credit is one of the leading equipment finance and leasing companies in the US, which provides financing services to equipment products and agricultural purchases. Deere and Company aims at improving the quality of life for people around the world.
