Time Managing Strategies 2 Time Managing Strategies When we think of time management, we think of managing our time to waste less time on doing the things we have to do so we have more time to do the things we want to do. Therefore, time management is often thought of or presented as a set of time management skills; the theory is that once we master these skills, we will be organized, efficient, and happier. According to Timothy Ferris, the author of a book called “The 4-Hour Workweek”, we need “to completely unplug and reset to get to a four hour work week.” He has provided us with four strategies that will help those who struggle with managing their time effectively. In the book Ferriss uses the acronym DEAL for the four main chapters. It stands for : D efinition, E limination, A utomation, and L iberation. The four strategies according to Timothy Ferris that changed his life are Definition, Elimination, Automation, and Liberation. The first step is definition. Definition is a process where you need to find out what you want to be doing through the entire day, in other words,
