Jeffrey Welter BUS-115 02AUG06 Is it a good idea for a company to have attitude of “giving to the community” when it starts? What conflicts might arise? How do the advantages and disadvantages of franchising compare to other forms of the business? Having an attitude to “give to the community” when starting a business is a great way to attract customers. Offering things back to the community from profits will draw more attention to your business. Customers may also purchase more of your product because they know that a percentage of your profits will be going back to the community, and they look at this as a good thing. One conflict that could arise would be that many charitable organizations would want to receive money from your business profits, and you would eventually have to say no to some of them creating a negative image. Also while your intentions were mainly to give back to the community in the beginning, this could become harder and harder while trying to expand your business and maintain a
