Predict the ionic compounds formed when you react the following elements together. a. Sodium/sulfur Na 2 S b. Gallium/arsenic GaAs You might also predict Ga 3 As. c. Nickel/oxygen NiO You are not expected to predict more than the +2 cation for Ni, because it is not easy to predict how many d electrons might be removed to form another ion. 4.
