What is Corporate Responsibility? Corporate Responsibility simply describes when a company focuses on its performance in all areas, not just financial, and takes responsibility for its impacts on society and the environment. Why focus on CSR? •Because all companies should be responsible – it makes business sense! •Stakeholder Expectations Increasingly, large corporations are expected to report on their non-financial performance. The Federal Government is currently conducting an inquiry into Sustainability/CSR reporting with the potential of regulating it for all public companies. To meet our diverse stakeholder expectations and continue to be leaders in our field, Sensis must pro-actively pursue CSR actions internally and report on them externally. • Staff Expectations Recent studies show that younger workforce members place high expectations on their employers in terms of Corporate Responsibility and want to work for organisations that make them feel they are achieving worthwhile things. As Sensis wants our people to ‘say, stay and strive’, CSR is an important strategic focus. • Corporate Reputation
