ZO 212 LAB #1 Study Sheet Please make sure to complete the following either in class or out of class. You will be held responsible for all material listed below and any additional material assigned during lab. Exercise #2: The language of Anatomy 1. Define homeostasis. Describe how the relationship of structure and function apply to this process. 2. Describe the basic anatomical position or to demonstrate it. 3. Locate the body landmarks listed within the “Locating Body Landmarks” activity on a figure, model or person. 4. Describe and use the terms found within “Body Orientation and Direction” correctly. 5. Identify and explain each of the body planes within “Body Planes and Sections”. Describe the resulting body sections for each plane using proper terminology (i.e. superior/inferior). 6. Compare longitudinal and transverse sections. 7. Compare the dorsal and ventral body cavities and identify the specific cavities found within each as described in your text under “Body Cavities”. 8.
