When these cells were transformed with genomic library plasmids of the organism, they found that the cells that could proceed through the cell cycle at high temperatures were those that had WT Cdc28, CLN1, or CLN2, and CLN1 and CLN2 corresponded to an overexpression of G1 cyclin. Because the cyclin was overexpressed, it was able to bind to the low affinity CDK and proceed through the cell cycle. 2.
