The War in Iraq The 2003 invasion of Iraq has developed only negative consequences for America. Iraq was governed by Sadam Hussein as a dictatorship. The war began because America thought that Iraq was hiding weapons of mass destruction. But, before the beginning of the war, the head inspector of the United Nations in Iraq clearly stated that his team had been unable to find any evidence of nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons. Although, America was still thinking of the existence of this weapons and therefore they attack Iraq without the consent to the United Nations. Also, the majority of the population around the world was opposed to the war. In about three weeks America was able to control Iraq. But after the war ended it has been proved that Iraq had no weapons. So this was an excuse raised by the Bush government to attack and control Iraq. The military action not only had caused humanitarian crisis, but also major economic, political, and military repercussions. The heavy bombardment and destruction of Iraq had created a humanitarian crisis in this
