Unformatted text preview: PETITION FOR GREATER TRANSPARENCY OF RESNET We, the undersigned, would like to formally state our dissatisfaction and outrage at the current practices of The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) and specifically ResNet. Their current policy is to trap us; deciding what may or may not enter and refusing to let the inhabitants of the Stony Brook Residence Halls have any knowledge or say in the matters they decide. This regime will hold us at bay no more and we the undersigned demand an answer and resolution to our following concerns and complaints: Blocking access to specific sites (rapidshare.com, megaupload.com) Blocking access to specific protocols (bittorrent, RFB, IRC, ICMP) Both of these are a violation of Net Neutrality.
