Course Description BUS 203 Marketing is an introductory course to the philosophy and practice of marketing. The course is the basis for those students that are interested to continue with more advanced marketing coursework and gives an overview to those who will take only one marketing course. It provides knowledge on how marketing theory and practice evolved, marketing interaction with other managerial functions, the development of a consistent marketing strategy including market segmentation and contemporary marketing mix decisions. Course Objectives Students completing BUS 203 Marketing will: 1. Correctly apply basic marketing notions and terminology 2. Analyze and develop solutions to marketing problems 3. Understand the role of marketing in various types of organizations 4. Understand how marketing operates within the global, social and economic environment 5.
