Kyle Daniele March 24, 2009 Mr. Tufaro Humanity: Feeling, Logic and Death To be human is to be imperfect. To be human is to also be ruled by emotions and logic. We are complex creatures slaves to our emotions. Think about it, how many times does a person’s emotions affect his or her judgment or reasoning? How many times did you want to ask the girl or boy out but there was a feeling of fear shackling you to the spot where you stood? Emotions are the way the right side keeps the left side down. The two most crippling emotions are anger and love. Anger is a bull, hooves kicking up dirt and horns of steel, while love is a little girl picking flowers in a field near a cliff; sometimes she gets too close to the edge. However crippling our emotions may be, we still need them. Without them we would be calculators, robots, thinking about everything and feeling nothing. We would be lacking one of our greatest attributes, compassion. Without compassion and fear, we would have no qualms
