Kyle Daniele For some, Disney World is considered the “happiest place on Earth.” It is a place where children’s favorite fictional characters come to life and dreams apparently come true. However, for me this is not the case. In the span of my short seventeen-year-old life, I have been there over twenty times. I know the theme park like the back of my hand, and it seems nothing has changed. My parents obviously enjoy their stay there, but I have grown tired of going over the course of the past few years. I understand I am privileged to go, but I desperately need a change of pace. I cannot remember how many times I have pleaded to go elsewhere, as my desire to see the vast world is great. My pleas are denied not only because of the trips to Disney World, but I also believe a trip to Mexico my parents took twenty years ago plays a part. They have told me stories of how wretched their journey was. A hurricane and an earthquake simultaneously occurred, food and drinks had made them sickly, and water
