6 Grading Policy Grading Policy - - Tentative Tentative ± Two exams ( 5 0% of overall grade ) ² Midterm ( 20% of overall grade) ² Final ( 30% of overall grade ) ± Homework + Project ( 5 0% of overall grade ) ² Will include both theoretical and design problems ² Project w ill include a short presentation and report

7 Exam, Homework and Project Exam, Homework and Project ± VLSI system design includes design of individual components (e.g. gates, adders etc.) and design of the system by properly using the components. ± Homework and projects will include both theoretical and design problems ² Homework will emphasize on components ² Project will focus on designing a system using the components. ² Collaboration and discussion policies will be declared with each homework. ² For group activities every group member need to contribute individually. Report needs to clearly mention the contributions of each member
