Welcome to C350 Comprehensive Health Assessment for Patients and Populations! Updated February 2020 PLEASE NOTE: The C350 Course Instructor team prepared this document to provide you with immediate and continual access to information & resources known to facilitate student success Introduction In the Comprehensive Health Assessment for Patients and Populations course, you will explore the principles of health assessment for individuals and populations, and consider the global factors that impact health. You will perform a comprehensive functional health assessment that includes social structures, family history, and environmental factors. You will use the knowledge you have gained from previous courses in areas such as pathophysiology, pharmacology, and epidemiology, and apply this knowledge to various populations experiencing common disorders. Course Completion/pacing The expectation is for you to complete the course within a six week timeframe (though it is possible to complete in less time). Take time to develop an action plan to facilitate your daily engagement in the learning resources, with a goal to achieving success in the course. There is also a ‘21 steps to success’ option available that steps you through completing the entire course in just 21 days (3 weeks)! You must be logged into your WGU account only (no gmail, etc) to access WGU secure links. If you find you are unable to complete the course by the course end date you set with your Program Mentor, please schedule time with him/her before that date to discuss resetting it. Time spent following the tips here will save you much time & frustration, and help ensure your timely success. d.The WGU Writing Centeris a great source for information. They offer APA Open Door Sessions on various days and times. Check out their website through the Student Success Center web page. If you have ever had a paper returned for APA source formatting or articulation, you should schedule time to attend a workshop!
