1 How do you make a moral judgment? • Decide if something is right or wrong • Then decide what to do • Determining blame is often not helpful Ethical problems are practical problems • What are the specifications? • How do you solve the problem? • What are the constraints? There is no single right answer. • There may be many ways to solve an ethical problem. • Or there may be no solution. There can be wrong answers. • Pay attention to context. • What do you do if your boss or colleague is doing the wrong thing? • Reconsider your first response(s).
