hinzemm@ufl.edu COURSE DESCRIPTION This course provides the student with clinical experiences in a variety of health care environments. Students will provide basic care to clients from diverse backgrounds. Emphasis is on the application of the nursing process. The art and science of nursing, as well as knowledge from the arts, humanities and sciences, are integrated into the framework of the nursing process to provide students opportunities to use critical thinking and decision making for clinical problem solving. Communication and health assessment techniques are utilized. COURSE OBJECTIVES
