[2 Wires] Two long parallel straight situated at x = D and -D wires carry equal electric currents I in the same direction perpendicular to this page, as shown. (a) What is the magnetic field at the origin? Please give your reasoning. (b ) What are the directions of the magnetic field at the points y = D and y = -D on the y-axis? Please illustrate how you obtained your answers with vector diagrams. (c) Find the strength of the magnetic field B(y) as a function of position y for points on the y-axis. Let B(y) be > 0 if the magnetic field has a component in the +x-direction and < 0 if it has a component in the -x-direction. (d) Draw a graph of B(y) vs. y from y = -4D to +4D. (e) Where on the y-axis does B(y) have its maximum magnitude ? What is this magnitude?
