Studying tips: Go through each lecture, pick out key words that you should be able to define. Think about concepts that could easily be compared (I like ‘compare and contrast’ short answer questions) Population growth curves….think about different ways to present them. Look at Ch. 5 to help. Look at all graphs that I either referenced from text of included in lecture. Make sure you understand them.

Studying tips continued…. Review methods of doing ecological science. Could you design an experiment to test a hypothesis ? Could you identify alternative hypotheses as well as ‘choice’ hypothesis? For matrix modeling—be able to explain why these models offer flexibility and creativity in exploring population growth for a species.
