The more problems you do, the better your final grade will be. There is no alternative in a chemistry course to working problems. Purchase several pads of paper and fill them, or you will probably not do well in this course. The less time you spend reading and the more time you spend doing problems, the better you will do in the course. The following is a list of problems from the text (Vollhardt and Schore: Organic Chemistry, Fourth Edition ) that are not recommended. All of the remaining exercises in the assigned reading and the supplementary problems at the end of each chapter are relevant to this course. Do as many of them as you can and emphasize those that relate to the lecture material. Any problem you do without looking up the answer will pay off. Problems from the text that are NOT recommended: Chapter 1: 10, 11 Chapter 2: 28, 33 (part 2), 39 (part 1) Chapter 3: 17, 23, 26e, 28, 31-34, 38, 39, 40 Chapter 4: 16b, 17, 42, Chapter 5: 8, 11, 12, 13 14, 15, 23, 33d, 39b, 48, 49
