Accounting Notes 3/13/09 For part a: operating cash flow amount(the positive numbers)/(+OCF+ICF+FCF) Good range for part a: 20-40% (but also compare the two companies After you calculate, explain Executive summary must be a paragraph (can add bullet points but cannot be exclusively bullet points) Final Exam o 50 multiple choice o includes computational questions (40% of MC) o qualitative questions (60% of MC) o 1-2 short problem/essay o familiarize yourself w/ grand master cheat sheet o can bring book index your book! o Don’t focus on debits and credits (there will not be any debits or credits) o Focus on big picture, analysis, and interpretation o Ratio analysis and its limitations (static vs. flow measures) o How can you make decisions from financial statements o There will be some questions about cash flow statement but nothing too technical o Comparative balance sheet (just two balance sheets side by side) o Cash flow statement sifts out all the accrual accounting (the magic)
