Oracle DBMS seems to have the biggest market share overall  [1] . Their software not only has  support for open source operating systems like Linux and Solaris they provide 24x7 technical  support for companies. [2] MySQL totes itself as “The world's most popular open source database.”  [3]  MySQL  dominates the on the web being the most popular database to be used by web applications.  [4]  MySQL runs on an amazingly over 20 platforms. [5]   MySQL is free to use and comes with most  Linux distributions. MySQL’s has a huge community of users help is normally just one Google
