Basic functionality, maintenance, management, service, and support will be covered. This course assists students in preparing for the CompTIA’s Network + certification exam. LIFELONG LEARNING: Bryant & Stratton College seeks to develop lifelong learning competencies in all students through the development of information literacy skills that assist students to formulate essential questions, research and apply the answers, and communicate the results within the dynamic communities of college, career, and life. COURSE OUTCOMES: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Compare and contrast logical and physical network topologies 2. Indicate features of 802.2, 802.3, 802.5, 802.11, and FDDI networking technologies 3. Compare cable types and media connectors of various technologies 4. Explain the purpose, features, and functions of network components 5. Identify the seven (7) layers of the OSI model 6.
