A curious analyst followed the progress of a particular freshman class with 36 students and found that only 15 of the students received their degrees at the end of their fourth year. Determine whether this particular class performed worse than previous classes at a level of significance of (a) 0.05 and (b) 0.01. 11.16 An equipment manufacturing company claimed that at least 95% of the equipment it supplied to a factory conformed to specifications. An exam- ination of a sample of 200 pieces of equipment revealed that 18 of them did not meet the specifications. Determine whether the company’s claim is legitimate at a level of significance of (a) 0.01 and (b) 0.05.
