English 315: Chaucer Bibliographic Exercise Fall, 2009 Length: 1 page each, single-spaced Critical Resources Due: by Friday, 9/18/09, Noon Although we will have covered only “The Knight’s Tale” and “The Miller’s Tale” by September 17, you will already know something about many of the Canterbury pilgrims. Feel free to choose either the tales of the Knight, the Miller or ANY of the tales on which to do some research. The two articles you select may be about the same “Tale” or different ones. Although Chaucer Review is an excellent source, don’t be limited to CR . There are many other journals available in the CSUF Library or on line. Speculum , Medium Aevum , Studies in Philology, Modern Philology, English Literary History (ELH), Chaucer Yearbook, and Studies in the Age of Chaucer are a few suggestions. Find your sources by looking through the MLA online bibliography through the library link on the CSUF homepage. Ask librarians for help if you are unfamiliar with this resource.
