Psychology 152 – Class Notes – 11/4/09 Conjunctive FR50 FI20” – 2 or more schedules are operating for just 1 response. this is a complex schedule Z - pulse – an electrical pulse that allows for communication between state sets. These state sets occur simultaneously. Once the two Z-pulses are sent to the third state set (S, S, 1), the accumulation of 2 Z-pulses triggers the start of the third state set (S, S, 3). response rate = number of responses per unit time (# responses/time) Look at the example FI 5’ and FR30 cumulative record If you give the subject (a bird) PCP (the illegal drug), temporal disorganization results. The bird will respond with high frequency when reinforcement is not close and will respond at LOW frequency when reinforcement is close totally OPPOSITE of what one would expect based on NORMAL TEMPORAL ORGANIZATION. MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THE BEHAVIOR: it is quantifiable A fixed ratio schedule of reinforcement is artificially setup in our social structure. It doesn’t happen in nature that often. Your behavior is determined by multiple schedules (multiplee determined) Thus, you are more likely to find complex schedules in real life, like a conjunctive FR50 FI20” schedule.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
