Lisully Ramirez Abnormal Psychology Professor Hollenback 8th October 2019 I believe Ernest Eaton’s has bipolar disorder because of all the symptoms presented, starting with the periods of different moods. One of the definitions of Bipolar Disorder i s a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). Ernest experienced twenty-five days of remarkable energy, hyperactivity, and euphoria were followed by five days of depression during which he slept a lot and felt that he could hardly move. This pattern of alternating periods of euphoria and depression, apparently with few “normal” days, repeated itself continuously over the following years. According to a lot of medical journals these are some of the symptoms that come with being Bipolar. A common symptom during hyperactive periods is binge drinking. He was fired from his previous job because his boss thought he was using drugs. During his energetic periods Mr. Eaton also spent large sums of money on unnecessary and for him
