BME 303 Fall 2009 Lab 6 The LC-3 Machine Language This lab will count as one HW assignment of a total of 140%. Complete each section in class and demonstrate it to your TA. If you do not finish it during the scheduled lab session, complete it on your own, and demonstrate it to your TA at the beginning of the next lab session. 1. For all the operations use AND, ADD or NOT instructions only. 2. For all problems use x3000 as the starting address. 3. Last line of code is a TRAP instruction and is: xF025. 4. Use Set Value ” means just double click on the location and type the value. (Everything else is done using LC-3 binary instructions.) 5. Your code should be well commented. (Follow the commenting style of the code examples provided in class and in the textbook.) Problem 1 (20%) Follow the example that starts on page 2, Chapter 1 of the “Guide to Using the Windows version of the LC-3 Simulator and LC3Edit.” Follow the example through page 14, Chapter 3.
